Product description
1970s Industrial Modernist Table Lamp, Model PS 11, by Pokrok Žilina, Czechoslovakia
An original vintage industrial table lamp manufactured by Pokrok Žilina in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s.
Designated model PS 11, this unusual lighting piece represents the functionalist approach to industrial design characteristic of Eastern European modernism.
The lamp features a rectangular white lacquered metal body supported by a sculptural black metal wire-frame base. Its minimalist construction emphasizes clean geometry, balanced proportions, and practical functionality.
When illuminated, the translucent front diffuser creates a soft, warm ambient glow, contrasting beautifully with the lamp’s crisp architectural silhouette.
The design combines elements of industrial modernism, minimalist lighting, and Bauhaus-inspired functionalism, making it a distinctive addition to contemporary, mid-century modern, or eclectic interiors.
The original manufacturer’s label is preserved on the rear panel, identifying Pokrok Žilina and model PS 11.
