An elegant and rare 1970s Pierre Cardin sideboard, featuring a bold, sophisticated design that perfectly embodies the glamorous, geometric aesthetic of the era. The structure, crafted entirely from high-gloss black lacquered wood, is enhanced by refined gold trim framing the two side doors; this creates a striking contrast with the black surface, lending the piece an exceptionally elegant appearance. The sideboard offers ample storage space, organized into two side compartments—each with a door and an internal shelf—and four spacious central drawers. The doors have been fitted with new brass knobs, selected to preserve and accentuate the piece's aesthetic. As the original handles were missing, these knobs were chosen to harmonize with the sideboard's gold detailing. The drawer handles are entirely original. The combination of high-gloss black, gold trim, and brass accents gives the sideboard a commanding presence, making it an ideal choice for elegant interiors, whether vintage or contemporary. The lacquer shows normal signs of wear and age—consistent with the piece's history—which are visible in the photographs. The door knobs are new.
