Product description
1970s Italian Orange Space Age Adjustable Gooseneck Table Lamp – Mid-Century Modern Lighting
A distinctive vintage Italian Space Age table lamp dating from the 1970s, characterized by its vibrant orange lacquered metal construction, flexible black gooseneck arm, and polished chrome-plated details.
This sculptural lighting piece embodies the playful experimentation and futuristic aesthetics that defined Italian design during the Space Age era.
The lamp features a generously rounded orange metal shade with a white reflective interior, providing directional illumination while emphasizing its bold geometric form.
A series of narrow ventilation openings on the shade adds an attractive technical detail, reflecting the functional approach to lighting design characteristic of the period.
The flexible black ribbed gooseneck connects the shade to a circular orange lacquered metal base through polished chrome-plated fittings.
This adjustable construction allows the light to be directed according to individual needs, making the lamp suitable for use as a desk light, reading lamp, bedside lamp, or decorative accent.
The original design creates a striking contrast between the vivid orange lacquer, reflective chrome surfaces, and textured black flexible arm.
A white on/off switch is conveniently positioned on the base.
The lamp’s compact footprint and adjustable height make it particularly versatile for residential interiors, offices, and creative spaces.
Its expressive silhouette and distinctive color combination complement mid-century modern furniture, Italian vintage design, contemporary interiors, and eclectic decorative schemes.
A visually engaging example of 1970s Italian lighting, combining functional versatility with the sculptural appeal of Space Age design.
