Product description
1970s Danish Mid-Century Modern Three-Seater Sofa in Patinated Red Leather
An elegant and generously proportioned Danish three-seater leather sofa from the 1970s, distinguished by its rich cognac-red leather upholstery, sculptural padded armrests, and sophisticated Scandinavian modern silhouette.
This beautiful vintage sofa represents the understated luxury and exceptional comfort associated with Danish furniture design during the 1970s.
The design features a low, architectural profile with gently curved lines, substantial proportions, and a fully upholstered wooden frame.
Its leather upholstery displays a beautiful reddish-brown tone with natural variations in color, gentle creasing, and a rich patina that has developed over time.
The generously padded seating consists of three removable seat cushions and three individually upholstered back cushions, each featuring two decorative tufted buttons.
This carefully balanced arrangement creates an inviting and comfortable seating experience while introducing subtle visual rhythm to the sofa’s elegant design.
Distinctive cylindrical leather cushions rest along the broad armrests, introducing a soft sculptural element that complements the sofa’s clean geometric construction.
The gently curved backrest and low overall height contribute to its relaxed yet sophisticated appearance.
The combination of substantial leather upholstery, deep cushioning, and balanced proportions creates a striking example of vintage Scandinavian lounge furniture.
The warm red leather offers a beautiful contrast to minimalist contemporary interiors while complementing natural wood, stone, chrome, and other classic mid-century materials.
Equally suitable for a modern living room, private residence, design-focused office, or curated vintage interior, this sofa offers an attractive balance of timeless aesthetics and everyday functionality.
Its generous width of 208 cm provides comfortable seating for three people without overwhelming the surrounding space.
The naturally aged leather gives the piece a distinctive vintage character that cannot be replicated by newly manufactured furniture.
A sophisticated addition to any collection of Danish modern, Scandinavian design, or European mid-century furniture.
