Title: 1970s Czechoslovak Space Age Mushroom Table Lamp – Opaline Glass
Fully functional, with no chips or cracks to the glass.
Beautiful vintage Space Age mushroom table lamp from former Czechoslovakia, most likely dating from the 1960s or 1970s.
This striking piece features an elegant, sculptural pedestal base supporting a generously proportioned, dome-shaped opaline glass shade. The glossy white finish, flowing organic silhouette and subtle orange detail underneath the base are characteristic of the futuristic design aesthetic of the period.
The lamp retains its original Czechoslovak identification and electrical certification labels, including the historic ESČ mark and a distinctive circular S emblem. The latter has been associated with the Czechoslovak lighting manufacturer Osvětlovací tělesa, although the exact attribution remains unconfirmed.
When illuminated, the opaline glass produces a beautifully soft, diffused glow, highlighting the lamp’s elegant proportions.
