Product description
An authentic mid-century organic modernist side table designed by Jan Kalous for ÚLUV (Center for Folk Art Production) in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. Exemplifying the fusion of traditional folk craftsmanship and clean functionalist design, this collectible table features a circular wooden center enclosed by a tight, hand-woven wicker weave. The tabletop rests upon three outward-tapered solid wood legs in a classic tripod configuration. Preserved in good original condition, this iconic piece retains its original character and warm natural tones. Its light architectural form makes it a versatile addition to sophisticated mid-century modern, Scandinavian, or organic contemporary interiors, functioning effortlessly as an accent table, drink table, or plant stand. Condition Report: Good original vintage condition. The tripod frame is completely sturdy and stable. The natural wicker weave is fully intact, and the wooden surfaces display a gentle, authentic age-appropriate patina. Technical Details: Configuration: Round wooden top with hand-woven wicker surround on a 3-leg tripod base Product number: 220221
