A remarkably rare and architecturally striking wingback armchair designed and produced by ÚLUV (Center for Folk Art Production) in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. This piece is a stellar representation of postwar Czechoslovak modernism, fusing traditional craft with progressive mid-century aesthetics. The chair is defined by its sweeping high backrest, prominent sculptural wing profile, and a light-toned solid beech wood frame.
The structural wooden components have been carefully refreshed and re-polished, presenting a stable and entirely robust frame. It retains its original green-toned plaid woolen upholstery, adding a distinct layer of graphic, mid-century texture.
