ProfessionalProduct description
Tube-shaped ceramic sculpture by Pucci Umbertide, made in the 1960s. Diameter 34 cm, Diameter 16 cm, Height 22 cm. Ceramica Pucci Umbertide was a ceramics company founded in Umbertide, Umbria, in 1947. The company was known for its high-quality, hand-painted ceramics, often decorated with traditional Italian motifs. Pucci Umbertide products were popular with both tourists and locals, and the company exported its products worldwide. The company was founded by Gualtiero Pucci, a local artisan who had been working in the ceramics industry for many years. Pucci was a skilled craftsman and was able to create beautiful and unique ceramic pieces. He was also a shrewd businessman and was able to build a successful company that employed dozens of people. Pucci Umbertide ceramics were made from local clay and fired in wood-burning kilns. This gave the ceramics a unique rustic appearance that was highly valued by collectors. The company's products were also decorated with hand-painted designs, often inspired by traditional Italian folk art. Pucci Umbertide continued to operate for over 50 years, and the company's products are still valued by collectors today. The company's ceramics are often found in antique shops and galleries and can also be found online. Ceramica Pucci Umbertide recalls the rich artisanal tradition of ceramics in Italy. The company's products are still beautiful and valued today, and they bear witness to the skill and creativity of the Italian artisans who made them.
