Product description
This mid-century oil painting presents a striking cubist composition, drawing clear inspiration from the works of Pablo Picasso. The piece features three abstracted figures rendered in bold, expressive black lines against a vibrant backdrop of warm ochre, deep red, and muted purple tones.
Executed on canvas, the artwork demonstrates a confident handling of the medium, with thick, deliberate brushstrokes that add texture and depth to the geometric forms. The painting bears a signature reading 'Picasso' and the date '-38-', though it is presented as a decorative homage rather than an authenticated original. It is housed in a classic gold-toned frame with ornate detailing along the inner edge, which complements the warm palette of the composition.
The painting remains in good vintage condition, with the canvas securely mounted and the frame structurally sound. The reverse shows a sealed paper backing, typical of mid-century framing practices, complete with a hanging ring ready for display.
This dynamic piece serves as a compelling focal point for a living room, study, or hallway. Its bold cubist style pairs exceptionally well with mid-century modern furniture, adding a layer of artistic intrigue and historical resonance to contemporary or eclectic interiors.
