Product description
This original 1960s ceiling light was most likely produced in former Czechoslovakia and reflects the forward-looking optimism of Mid-Century Modern design, with subtle references to the emerging Space Age aesthetic.
The pendant features a milk glass shade, elegantly formed into a smooth conical silhouette. Towards the base, the form transitions into a series of graduated ribbed rings, each subtly defined by fine gold-brown lines that emphasise the geometry and add a warm decorative note. This layered detailing introduces a gentle visual rhythm, enriching the otherwise minimalistic design. The shade is set into a white cap, and the piece is suspended from a white-coloured cable, maintaining a cohesive and understated palette.
Balancing simplicity with character, the design offers a warm, diffused light, ideal for creating atmosphere in both modern and vintage-inspired interiors.
The lamp remains in good original vintage condition, there is no damages, or cracks, only minor wear to the glass consistent with age. Over time, it has developed a subtle patina that enhances its authenticity and charm. It has been fitted with a new white cable in keeping with the original aesthetic, and the lamp is fully functional.
