Product description
This is an Italian modern desk chair produced by Vaghi, dating from the 1960s. The piece exemplifies the functional elegance of mid-century Italian design, featuring a comfortable, enveloping seat upholstered in black leather and skai combination.
The chair is constructed with a generously padded seat and backrest, detailed with subtle button tufting that adds a touch of classic refinement. It is supported by a sturdy four-star swivel base made of cast aluminium, which allows for smooth rotation. The armrests are also upholstered in black leatherette and are mounted on polished metal supports that integrate seamlessly into the chair's frame, reflecting the era's focus on mixed materials.
Presented in its original condition, the chair has developed a character that speaks to its history. The black leather upholstery is well-preserved, showing a natural patina consistent with its age and use. The swivel mechanism remains fully functional, making it a practical piece for daily use.
With its timeless silhouette and professional aesthetic, this Vaghi desk chair is an excellent addition to a home office or study. It pairs well with both vintage and contemporary interiors, offering a sophisticated seating solution that embodies the spirit of Italian design.
