Product description
This pair of armchairs, designed by Melchiorre Bega, represents the refined elegance of 1960s Italian Mid-Century Modern design. The silhouette is defined by a high, gently tapered backrest and subtly flared armrests, creating a form that is both sculptural and inviting. The chairs are reupholstered in a vibrant green ‘Kvadrat’ fabric, offering a striking contrast to the dark, ebonised wood legs. The front legs are elegantly finished with brass sabots, a hallmark of mid-century Italian craftsmanship that adds a touch of sophistication. The construction reflects the era's commitment to quality and enduring design principles. The condition is good, showing wear consistent with age and use. The new upholstery remains vibrant, while the wooden legs and brass details exhibit a natural patina that speaks to their history and authenticity. These armchairs are well-suited for a variety of interiors, from a curated mid-century living room to a contemporary space seeking a bold accent. They pair beautifully with warm woods and other brass-accented furniture, anchoring a room with their distinct character.
