Product description
A rare and visually arresting three-piece smoking set designed by the renowned Italian sculptor Romano Bianchi during the 1960s. This set is a masterclass in Mid-Century Modern Italian craftsmanship, featuring a table lighter, a hinged box, and a sculptural ashtray. Hand-carved in Volterra, Italy, the set is crafted from genuine alabaster. What sets this collection apart is the intense emerald green pigmentation and the rugged, "rock-cut" texture of the exterior surfaces. This "brutalist" carving technique contrasts beautifully with the polished, smooth interior surfaces, showcasing the natural translucency and veining of the stone. The set is in excellent condition.
