Product description
This is an authentic school desk by the American Seating Company, dating from the 1950s or 1960s. This specific model, the "Envoy", was an icon in classrooms across the United States.
The furniture is made with a solid metal frame, finished in a light blue color, and wooden elements for the seat, backrest, and desktop. Under the seat, there is an open storage compartment for books and notebooks, a practical detail that emphasizes its original function. The desktop features a classic pen groove. As the stamps indicate, this piece was produced in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
The overall condition is good and consistent with its age and former use. The desk has a lived-in character and a patina that contributes to its vintage charm. The original manufacturer's markings are clearly visible, confirming the item's origin and authenticity.
Thanks to its compact size and unique industrial aesthetic, this school desk is a versatile piece of furniture. It can serve as a special workspace in a child's room, a striking object in a hallway, or as a decorative accent in an interior with a vintage or industrial style.
