Product description
This pair of Italian Mid-Century side lounge chairs embodies the elegant simplicity of 1950s design. The distinctive silhouette, characterised by a gently curved, armless form and a rolled crest rail, offers a refined interpretation of post-war European seating.
Upholstered in a textured red bouclé fabric, the chairs present a striking visual presence. The vibrant crimson hue highlights the organic lines of the seat and backrest. They are supported by slender, tapered brass legs that terminate in spherical feet, a hallmark of Italian craftsmanship from this era. The contrast between the voluminous upholstery and the delicate metal base creates a balanced, sculptural aesthetic.
The chairs remain in good condition, reflecting their age and history. The upholstery retains its rich colour and texture, while the brass legs display a natural patina consistent with mid-century pieces. The structural integrity of the frames is preserved, ensuring continued functionality.
These lounge chairs are well-suited for a variety of interior settings, from a curated reading nook to a sophisticated living area. Their compact footprint and bold colour make them an excellent addition to both Mid-Century Modern and contemporary spaces, pairing effectively with warm woods and neutral tones.
