Product description
This Italian Mid-Century daybed, or canapé, dates to the 1950s and exemplifies the elegant forms of the era. The piece is defined by its sweeping, asymmetrical silhouette and classic cabriole legs, offering a sophisticated interpretation of traditional seating. Constructed with a solid wood frame, the daybed features a warm, natural finish that highlights the grain of the timber. It is upholstered in a light beige textile adorned with a classic floral and botanical motif in shades of red, green, and gold. The six-legged design provides sturdy support while maintaining a graceful profile characteristic of Mid-Century Italian craftsmanship. The daybed remains in fair condition, reflecting its age and history. The wooden frame retains its original character, and the upholstery is intact, presenting a charming vintage aesthetic. Ideal for a reading nook, a spacious hallway, or as an accent piece in a living room, this daybed complements both classic and eclectic interiors. Its distinctive form and patterned fabric make it a striking addition to any curated space.
