Product description
Figurine depicting a young flower gatherer, made of Capodimonte Porcelain in the 1940s. Diameter 8 cm, height 16 cm. Capodimonte porcelain is an outstanding example of Italian craftsmanship, with a rich history and a production distinguished by its quality and refinement. The Royal Factory of Capodimonte was founded in 1743 by Charles of Bourbon, King of Naples, within the Royal Palace of Capodimonte. The factory experienced several periods of activity, with times of great splendor and moments of closure, but it always maintained high quality standards. Capodimonte porcelain is renowned for its "soft paste," a composition that gives the objects a particular softness and luminosity. The decorations are characterized by meticulous attention to detail, featuring depictions of mythological scenes, allegorical figures, floral motifs, and daily life scenes. Capodimonte statues are particularly valued for their expressiveness and richness of detail. The production encompasses a wide range of items, including figurines, dinnerware, vases, centerpieces, and decorative objects. The manufacturing process is predominantly artisanal, with techniques handed down from generation to generation.
