Modernist 1930s desk in black lacquered metal, nickel plated handles and topped by a thick slab of Saint Gobain glass. With working lock on the drawers! In the style of Bruno Weil for Thonet. Dxhxl: 72x76x167 cm This desk was used for many years by a Belgian throat-nose-ear doctor. After World War II, the doctor was called in by the government to examine returning prisoners of war for their state of health. This correspondence by letter was found behind the drawers of this desk!
