Original Bauhaus adjustable table lamp, model 3530, manufactured by NAPAKO in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. This collectible pre-war lamp is a fine example of Czechoslovak Functionalist and Modernist lighting design. Its sculptural construction combines a circular base with a sweeping chrome-plated tubular arm and a large adjustable reflector shade. Original Bakelite components complete the period design. The adjustable shade can be tilted to direct the light, combining the functional principles of the Bauhaus movement with an exceptionally distinctive Machine Age silhouette. The underside retains the original impressed NAPAKO manufacturer and model markings, confirming the lamp as model 3530. The chrome-plated surfaces have been carefully repolished while retaining the authentic character of the piece. The lamp remains in original condition and shows signs of use, surface patina and age consistent with its approximately 90-year history. An excellent collectible example of 1930s Czechoslovak Bauhaus lighting, suitable for a desk, console, bedside table or as a sculptural accent in a Modernist, Functionalist, Bauhaus, Art Deco or Machine Age interior.
