Product description
This is a charming solid wood secretaire from the 18th century, a piece of furniture with a rich history and a classic appearance. The warm reddish-brown wood tones and traditional design make it a characterful addition to any interior, perfect for those who want to bring a touch of history into their home. The secretaire is made of solid wood with a rich, walnut veneer finish and features a fold-out writing surface inlaid with green felt. With a height of 112 cm, a width of 96 cm, and a depth of 50 cm, the piece offers both a practical workspace and ample storage thanks to its various large and small drawers. The construction with dovetail joints testifies to the craftsmanship of that period. During that period, people stood behind the secretaire, hence the height of the worktop. See photo. The furniture has an authentic patina that has developed over the years and enhances its unique character. The overall condition is consistent with its age, giving it a lived-in and authentic atmosphere. This piece is ideal as an elegant desk in a study or as a striking piece of furniture in the living room, fitting well into both classic and eclectic interiors. Because we have moved to a smaller home, this secretaire has become too large, and after 40 years, we are saying goodbye to this unique piece.
