Beautiful set of 15 original Thonet S320 chairs, designed in 1984 by Wulf Schneider & Ulrich Böhme.
The S320 is a recognizable design featuring a sturdy steel sled frame, armrests, and the characteristic thin metal tube on the back of the backrest. The combination of the metal frame and the black, mottled upholstery with subtle colored accents gives the chairs a beautiful vintage look.
The chairs are comfortable and sturdy and fit well into various interiors. For business use, for example, they come into their own in a meeting room, office, reception area, studio, practice, or hospitality establishment. For private use, they look great at a large dining table, in a study, as a desk chair, or as a standalone chair in a living room or reading area. With 15 pieces, the set is also interesting for a larger interior, office, or hospitality project.
Condition:
The chairs are in original used condition and have the look befitting a vintage set from the 1980s. The upholstery on some chairs shows slight signs of wear. Traces of the paint are also visible on some frames. Those wishing to customize the set to their own liking can have the frames repainted/powder coated and/or have the upholstery renewed.
