This set brings together twelve silver-plated escargot forks, presented in their original case, covered in orange faux shagreen leatherette. The interior, padded with golden satin and velvet, holds each piece securely in place, in the style of cutlery cases from the interwar period. Production dates from the 1930s to the 1950s. The handles feature a clean and slender line, accentuated by fine fillets that run down to the tines. The two-tine prongs, characteristic of escargot service, extend in an elegant curve. Hallmarks are present on the pieces, attribution to be confirmed. The forks display a beautiful silver patina, with the usual micro-scratches typical of old metal. The set is complete and cohesive. One can imagine the case placed on a white tablecloth, with the lid open revealing the regular alignment of the handles catching the light.
