10 euros per plate. This set of twelve 'Fair Winds' plates was expertly crafted by the renowned producer Alfred Meakin in Staffordshire, England. This classic dinnerware is distinguished by its extremely detailed blue-and-white transferware decoration, which pays homage to rich maritime history.
The plates are made from high-quality ceramic and feature reproductions of original copper engravings. The central depictions portray historical scenes of Chinese export to America, with prominent details such as the U.S.S. Constitution and traditional oriental junks. The iconic blue-and-white color palette, combined with the elegantly scalloped edges, reflects the authentic production methods of the Staffordshire heritage. The set consists of twelve identical pieces with a diameter of 20 centimeters, offering a rare degree of completeness for such a vintage collection.
The entire set is in excellent, pristine condition. The original glaze layer and the deep, saturated blue pigments have been perfectly preserved over the years.
