This is a set of ten Penelope chairs, designed by Charles Pollock in 1982 and produced by Castelli.
The chair is constructed from a chrome-plated tubular steel frame that forms a continuous, flowing line. The seat and backrest are made from a single piece of black wire mesh, providing both visual lightness and surprising comfort and support. The armrests are finished with black rubber.
These vintage chairs are in a used condition consistent with their age and use. Some have small discolorations in the seats, which can be seen in the photos. Additionally, some are missing their feet.
The plastic feet are still available, so the set can be fully restored to its original condition if desired.
This set is ideal as conference chairs in an office, as dining chairs in a modern interior, or as accent chairs in a living space.
I sell the chairs in sets of 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10. I do not sell individual chairs.
