Product description
This is a paperweight by Val Saint Lambert, made of crystal glass and designed by Katherine de Sousa. The piece is a refined example of the craftsmanship of the Belgian manufacturer, known for its high-quality crystal objects. The design embodies a stylized frog shape, a characteristic motif in de Sousa's work for Val St. Lambert.
The object is executed in a vibrant green color, which catches and reflects the light, accentuating the depth and clarity of the crystal. The underside of the piece is engraved with the signatures "Val St. Lambert" and "Katherine de Sousa", confirming its authenticity and origin. This type of paperweight is a beloved collector's item and represents a piece of design history from the mid-20th century.
Overall, the object is in good condition, consistent with its age and use. The crystal retains its original luster and color intensity, contributing to the decorative character of the piece.
This paperweight is an elegant accessory for a desk, a bookshelf, or as part of a glass collection. It adds a subtle splash of color and a touch of Mid-Century Modern design to both classic and contemporary interiors.
The piece is marked and signed!
