1. What is curation and which items does it apply to?

At Whoppah, we curate listings for designer brands like Vitra, Cassina, B&B Italia, Ligne Roset, Flos, and other top brands. This means our team manually assesses these items for authenticity and quality before they appear online under the brand's label. Other items—without a well-known designer brand—can be listed and appear directly on the platform. These are excluded from the curation process.

2. How does Whoppah check if a Designer item is genuine?

Our curators use clear guidelines for each brand. When you place your ad, we ask for proof of authenticity, such as:

• A photo of the brand label , serial number or stamp

• An (anonymized) purchase receipt or invoice

• A signature or proof of provenance

• A reference to an official catalogue or brochure

• Or an explanation if the item is not labelled, but can be shown to be from a designer

All professional sellers on Whoppah are required to sell only authentic designer items .

3. What happens after I submit my ad?

Once your listing is complete (including proof and description), we'll review it within 48 hours (2 business days) . You'll receive an email once the item:

• Approved and live with brand label

• Or if we need additional information

• Without proof, we may remove the brand or not allow the item as a Designer.

4. Who determines the asking price of an item and how?

On Whoppah, sellers set their own asking price and whether or not bidding is allowed on an item. When setting your asking price, consider a 50% to 70% difference from the original price.
