Product description
This is a pendant lamp designed by the Danish designer Werner Schou for Coronell Elektro in the 1960s. The piece is a characteristic example of Danish mid-century lighting design, known for its layered constructions and the use of warm metals.
The lamp is constructed from concentric bands of copper-colored metal, creating a sculptural, almost floral shape. A dark brown, woven metal band encircles the center, adorned with inlaid, faceted glass crystals that catch and reflect the light. This combination of materials and the layered structure creates a diffuse and atmospheric light effect, spreading both direct and indirect light.
The piece is in good vintage condition, with a patina consistent with its age and use. The copper finish has retained a warm glow, and the original structure, including the decorative glass elements, is fully intact. The lamp retains its authentic character and is a testament to the durable quality of the design.
This pendant lamp functions excellently as a central lighting element above a dining table, in a seating area, or in a hallway. The design seamlessly fits into a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or eclectic interior and adds an element of warmth and refined texture to the space.
