This is the Alma W171 ceiling light, a design by the Swedish architect duo Tham & Videgård for the manufacturer Wästberg. The design is inspired by the soft, concentric ripples that spread in water, resulting in a poetic and functional lighting object. The lamp is made of cast aluminum with a silk-matte, white powder coating. A biopolymer diffuser ensures a soft, diffuse light distribution, while the wavy shape creates a play of light and shadow. With a diameter of 69 centimeters and a height of 7.2 centimeters, the lamp has a significant but elegant presence. This piece is a product of the Swedish lighting manufacturer Wästberg, known for their collaborations with leading designers.
