About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
An authentic Eames Plastic Side Chair DSR, produced by Vitra. This design is an icon of the mid-20th century, originally created by the visionary designer duo Charles and Ray Eames.
This chair is manufactured with a seat shell of through-dyed polypropylene in sea blue, ensuring a durable and vibrant finish. The shell rests on the characteristic DSR 'Eiffel' base, executed in black powder-coated metal. This specific piece was produced in Germany in November 2021 and features the contemporary seat height adjusted by Vitra.
The overall condition of the chair is very good, maintaining the structural integrity and the original matte texture of the seat shell. The design is a testament to the Eames' philosophy of making design accessible to a wide audience, a principle that Vitra continues to uphold to this day.
Due to its timeless aesthetic and comfortable, organic shape, this chair is versatile. It functions excellently as a dining chair, as an accent in a living room, or as a stylish addition to a home office in a modern or Scandinavian interior.
