Anders Österlin (1926 - 2011) was a Swedish painter, graphic artist, illustrator and advertising artist. Together with Hultén and Max Walter Svanberg, he founded the art group Imaginisterna in 1945. He also belonged to the art group Cobra, where he tried mural painting. He illustrated books of poems and created scenography. For 15 years he was associated with the Swedish Telegram Agency in Malmö as a cartoonist. Together with designer John Melin, he made a 17-meter-long wooden wall at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair. Österlin has received many awards and distinctions. His works are present in many Scandinavian museums.
