About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A vintage Pendant lamp by the Italian manufacturer Guzzini, made of plastic and plexiglass. This piece is an example of the iconic Space Age design for which the brand was known in the 1970s. The design is characterized by its double-layered shade and spiral cord, a feature of the Baobab series.
The lamp consists of an inner white, opaline shade encased by an outer transparent plexiglass shade. This construction provides a soft, diffuse light, while the included mirrored head bulb reflects direct light upwards. The lamp features a black spiral cord with a pull mechanism, allowing for adjustable height. This model, with article number 3094, is an authentic piece of Italian design from that period.
In overall good condition, consistent with its age and use, the lamp has retained its original character and finish. The plastic parts are well preserved and show no significant discoloration. The lamp is a functional and decorative object that reflects the aesthetics of the mid-20th century.
This Guzzini Pendant lamp is an excellent choice for above a dining table or as a central lighting element in a living room. It fits seamlessly into an interior with a preference for vintage, Space Age or eclectic design styles and adds a touch of Italian flair to the space.
