About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic vintage wardrobe trunk, an object that evokes the golden age of travel. Its design combines the functionality of a wardrobe with the portability of a travel trunk, an ingenious concept from a time when people traveled with style and considerable luggage.
The trunk is made of a sturdy wooden construction, reinforced with metal straps and corner pieces for durability. The exterior has a striking green-yellow color with a heavy patina that testifies to a rich past. When opened, the trunk reveals a two-part layout: a hanging section complete with the original wooden hangers and a drawer section for smaller garments and accessories. The interior is lined with a light-colored material, creating a clear contrast with the robust exterior.
The overall condition of the trunk is good, with clear signs of use consistent with the object's age and purpose. The patina, dents, and remnants of old travel stickers are not flaws, but part of its history and authentic charm. The structural integrity has been preserved, and the original components, such as the handles, latches, drawers, and hangers, are present.
This travel trunk is a versatile piece that can be used both decoratively and functionally. It can serve as a unique storage solution in a bedroom or hallway, or as a striking decorative object in a living room with an industrial, eclectic, or vintage interior.
