Product description
Beautiful extendable vintage dining table, model ‘TT24’, designed by Cees Braakman and produced by Pastoe in the 1960s. This piece comes from Amsterdam and belonged to the granddaughter of the first owners. The table was originally purchased together with a set of four SA10 dining chairs by Pastoe. A cool piece of history that comes with the table.
In our workshop, the table has been carefully restored with respect for the original design and characteristic patina. The top has been fully restored and refinished, allowing the warm color and beautiful wood grain to fully come into their own again. The table is in good condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with its age, showing that it has been carefully used for decades.
The table stands firmly on its slender, round legs and has a beautiful, soft appearance due to its rounded corners. Thanks to the extendable top, the table is also particularly practical to use. The extension system works smoothly, and the two extension leaves fit nicely with the fixed top. When closed, the table comfortably seats four people, while it can easily be extended to a six-person table.
The design is simple and timeless, typical Dutch design. No fuss, just a practical table that does what it's supposed to do. Due to its compact, square size, the TT24 is ideal for smaller spaces, such as a studio or small apartment. This way, it takes up little space in daily use but offers the possibility to host a larger company for cozy evenings at the table.
