A table lamp featuring a beige travertine base with carved concentric circles and a white fabric shade. 1970s travertine table lamp attributed to Fratelli Mannelli
Striking 1970s travertine table lamp attributed to Fratelli Mannelli, Italy, featuring a thick circular stone base carved with the characteristic concentric-ring motif. The natural beige travertine, sculptural geometric form and minimalist decoration are highly characteristic of Italian design from the period. The lamp is unmarked, therefore the attribution to Fratelli Mannelli is made on stylistic grounds.
Complete with what appears to be its original large fabric lampshade, beautifully proportioned to the base and concealing the socket when assembled. Approx. 42 cm high including shade, shade approx. 40 cm wide, stone base approx. 25 cm wide. French electrical fittings may be original to its sale in France or a later rewiring.
Good vintage condition with age-related traces consistent with its period. A substantial and highly decorative example of 1970s Italian travertine lighting.
