About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a filing cabinet by the French manufacturer Strafor, an iconic example of industrial design from the mid-20th century. The piece is characterized by its robust metal construction and functional aesthetic, typical of Forges de Strasbourg products.
The cabinet is made of dark grey lacquered metal and features ten separate flap compartments. Each compartment has a brass card holder and handle, creating a warm contrast with the dark metal. The construction is designed for durability and was originally intended for use in offices and workshops, which explains its solid build.
The overall condition of the cabinet is good, with an authentic patina that reflects the character and history of the furniture. The original finish and fittings have been preserved, contributing to its vintage appeal. All flap mechanisms are functional.
With its slender, vertical form, this filing cabinet is an efficient storage solution that takes up little floor space. It is a characterful piece of furniture that fits well in an industrial, eclectic, or modern interior, both in a home office and in a living space.
