Product description
This is the Tangled Vitrine, designed by Carolina Wilcke for the Dutch manufacturer Spectrum. The piece is a refined expression of modern display furniture, combining industrial materials with a light, graphic presence. The vitrine is constructed from a slender frame of black powder-coated steel, which encases panels and shelves made of tinted grey glass. This combination of materials creates a striking visual contrast and an interplay of light and shadow. Produced in the Netherlands, this piece is a fine example of contemporary Dutch design principles, notable for its seemingly interwoven frame which lends the cabinet its name. This particular cabinet is in a well-preserved state of conservation. The steel frame and glass components are structurally sound and present with a clean, consistent finish throughout, reflecting careful maintenance. The Tangled Vitrine is ideally suited for a living room, study, or dining area where it can serve as an elegant repository for books, ceramics, or a personal collection. Its minimalist and architectural form complements modern, industrial, and Scandinavian design schemes.
