Private sellerProduct description
This is a characteristic ceramic sculpture by the Dutch artist Sjer Jacobs, titled "Dancing Couple". The work is a striking example of Jacobs' ability to capture human interaction and emotion in his unique, expressive style.
The sculpture is made of ceramic and shows two figures in a dynamic, intimate pose. The finish is characterized by a rough texture and an intentional crackle effect, which is typical of the artist's technique. The main color is a natural, light clay tone that contrasts with the black of the hair, accentuating the forms and facial expressions. This work is of a considerable size, giving it an imposing presence.
The overall condition of the artwork is excellent. The visible cracks and irregular surface structure are not signs of wear, but an integral part of Sjer Jacobs' artistic process and aesthetics. These elements lend the sculpture its authentic character and depth.
As a standalone statement piece, this "Dancing Couple" is ideally suited for a spacious living room, an entrance hall, or an interior with a gallery-like appearance. It fits well within both modern and eclectic decor, where it can serve as a central and conversation-starting art object.
