About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a set of two Sculptures, consisting of a male and a female torso, each presented on a matching column. The pieces are crafted in a classical style reminiscent of Greco-Roman antiquity and evoke an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
The torsos and columns are executed in a cream to beige hue with a finish that imitates an aged, stone-like texture. The columns feature a traditional design with a fluted shaft and a capital with volutes, enhancing the classical appearance. The Sculptures themselves are figurative and anatomically detailed, contributing to their artistic value.
The overall condition of the set is good, with a characterful patina consistent with its age and design. The intentionally incomplete form of the torsos, without head and limbs, is a stylistic choice that focuses on the beauty of the human form, inspired by archaeological finds.
These decorative objects are particularly suitable for placement in a hallway, living room, or study. They add an element of classical refinement to both traditional and eclectic interior styles and can be presented as a striking pair to create symmetry and visual balance.
