About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an original lithograph by the Austrian artist Rudolph Hausner, a key figure of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism. The work, titled "Adam" and dated 1979, is an 'épreuve d'artiste' (E.A.), a proof print for the artist himself, which makes it a special collector's item.
The black and white lithograph on paper is hand-signed by Hausner. It shows a portrait in the artist's characteristic, penetrating style, where realism and alienation converge. The work is framed in a sleek, silver-colored metal frame that matches the period. The back bears a sticker from Galerie Kamp, indicating its provenance.
The lithograph itself is in excellent condition, well preserved behind glass. The paper and ink show no signs of aging. This powerful image is a beautiful example of Hausner's oeuvre and an asset for lovers of surrealist and figurative art. It fits perfectly into a modern or eclectic interior.
