About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a Krokus armchair, designed by Lennart Bender and produced by the Swedish manufacturer Ulferts AB. The piece is an icon of Scandinavian Space Age design, celebrated for its organic silhouette that evokes the shape of a blooming flower.
The structure of the armchair is made with a cream-white fiberglass pedestal base, which provides solid support and a distinctive visual contrast. The seat consists of a large, enveloping cushion, upholstered in a vibrant red fabric that accentuates its soft and inviting forms. This model is an emblematic example of the innovative and experimental design of the 1970s, which combined new materials with a bold aesthetic.
The item is in excellent general condition, preserving the structural integrity and original appearance of the materials. The fiberglass base is well preserved and the fabric upholstery maintains its intense color and texture, showing only minimal signs of age that do not compromise its overall aesthetic.
Thanks to its sculptural design and bold color, the Krokus armchair is an ideal accent piece for a living room, study, or reading area. It integrates harmoniously into Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, or eclectic interiors where it can serve as a focal point.
