Screen print by Piotr Konkel, beautifully framed Piotr KONKEL (Kartnzy 1963) Education: In 1980 Konkel entered the Graphic MTS in Amsterdam and from 1982 continued his education at the Akademie van beeldende kunsten (majoring in graphic design) in The Hague. Piotr Konkel is the youngest in a family of seven. At the age of eleven he fled communist Poland with his mother and sister. He incorporates the experiences of his childhood into his art, but Konkel also sees his work as a journey into future emotional states. Primary and emotional desires of human beings are therefore also subjects.
