Product description
A pendant lamp designed by Paul Secon, a characteristic example of Space Age design from the 60s and 70s. This model is known for its complex, sculptural form created by the interplay of geometric shapes and fine threads, resulting in a striking visual effect.
The construction consists of a chrome-plated metal frame with plexiglass panels, over which nylon thread is stretched. This technique, often described as 'thread art', ensures a diffuse and atmospheric light distribution. The combination of transparent plexiglass, white threads, and shiny chrome and brass-colored details gives the lamp a light and airy appearance, typical of the optimism of the Space Age.
This piece is in very good vintage condition, retaining its original structure and materials. The lamp shows character consistent with its age and careful use over the years, without significant damage to the threads or frame.
This Paul Secon pendant lamp is a timeless design object that fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or minimalist interior. It functions both as a light source and as an artistic centerpiece above a dining table, in a seating area, or in a hallway.
