About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This partial porcelain crockery set is a creation of the Villeroy & Boch manufacture. It belongs to the 'Cornelia' model, an emblematic series of mid-20th century design, recognizable by its hand-painted motif and distinctive color palette.
Made of high-quality porcelain, this set consists of dinner plates, soup plates, a tureen with its lid, and two relish dishes. The decor combines a plain powder pink with a graphic motif of fine stripes and dots on a cream background. The mention 'hand-painted' visible on the back of each piece attests to the artisanal craftsmanship of the era.
The set is in excellent overall condition, showing careful use. The brilliance of the porcelain and the vibrancy of the colors are well preserved, giving the set an authentic character and minimal patina.
This 'Cornelia' set will bring a touch of vintage refinement to a dining table. It fits perfectly into Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian, or classic style interiors, and can be complemented by contemporary crockery for an eclectic mix.
