Brand: Flos (Italy) Model: Papillona Designer: Afra & Tobia Scarpa Date: The design dates back to 1977; this example was presumably produced in the late 1970s or 1980s. Distinguishing Details of the Papillona: The red contrasting line: The red element in the black aluminium shaft that functions as a cable duct and extends into the heart of the shade. Prism glass: The flared shade enclosed at the front and back with prismatized glass diffusers. The base: The distinctive square metal base in which the slender column is anchored.
