Private sellerProduct description
This is an original oil painting on canvas, signed and dated 1914 by the artist E. Streickler. The work depicts an atmospheric forest landscape, characterized by an impressionistic approach to light and color.
The painting is executed with a clear impasto technique, where the paint is applied thickly, resulting in a tangible texture and lively brushstrokes. The palette consists mainly of earthy tones such as green, brown, and red, which represent the filtered sunlight through the forest canopy. The work is framed in a classic wooden frame with a gold-colored inner edge that accentuates the warm colors of the scene.
The overall condition of the artwork is good, consistent with its age of over a century. The colors are well preserved, and the canvas is firmly stretched on the original wooden stretcher. The artist's signature and date are clearly legible in the lower right corner.
This painting brings a sense of calm and nature to any space. It fits perfectly into a classic, rural, or eclectic interior, for example, as a focal point above a sideboard, in a study, or in a living room.
