About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
An authentic Venetian chandelier, crafted from Murano glass in the late 1950s. This piece is a beautiful example of traditional Italian glassblowing craftsmanship, characterized by its graceful and floral aesthetic. The chandelier has six arms, each ending in a chalice-shaped light holder, and is richly decorated with handmade flowers and leaves.
The construction consists entirely of hand-blown Murano glass, combining various techniques. The base and arms are made of opalescent white glass with a subtle blue sheen, which diffuses a soft and gentle light. The decorative elements, such as the flowers and the edges of the chalices, are made of delicate pink glass, creating a warm contrast. The combination of colors and the complexity of the shapes attest to the high level of craftsmanship.
The overall condition of the chandelier is good, consistent with its age and careful use over the years. The glasswork is intact and retains its original luster and color. An important advantage is that extra spare parts are included, which is rare for vintage lighting and ensures long-term durability.
This chandelier functions as a striking centerpiece in various interior styles, from classic to Hollywood Regency or eclectic. The piece adds a touch of Italian elegance and historical character to a dining room, living room, or a spacious hallway.
