Hand-painted Molaroni ceramic vase, made in the 1940s. The vase shows some chips and imperfections, as illustrated in the photos. More information / images available upon request. Ø 22 cm Ø 18 cm H 24 cm Since 1880, the Ceramiche Molaroni manufacture, founded in Pesaro, has been producing handmade decorative majolica, distinguished by the elegance of its forms and decorations. Their purpose is to continue an Italian tradition that has made spaces unique and elegant worldwide. Various styles characterize the ceramics: we find objects with refined forms featuring Renaissance decorations depicting biblical or mythological subjects, elegant collections painted with detailed Renaissance grotesques, or even floral motifs mixed with mermaids and putti in grey monochrome on a blue or brown ground. Then there are objects with a white ground and a sparse image of a putto or a noble coat of arms, very refined objects created by the effect of a particular painting technique that recalls embroidery, and objects with light and elegant floral and naturalistic decorations. Finally, the collection that made the Molaroni manufacture famous worldwide, characterized by an 18th-century decoration where a rose is always present.
