Product description
Mid-Century art ceramic, a shaped piece with a highly graphic asymmetrical design. Crafted by the famous West German manufacturer Scheurich Keramik in the 1950s, this large terracotta catchall has a free and curved shape. Its abstract interior decor combines brick red and yellow concentric circles as well as hand-painted black sinuous lines on a sandy beige granulated enamel background. The reverse of the piece features the official signature engraved underglaze 'Foreign 314', a rare marking specific to post-war export pieces. An ideal collector's item to enhance an entrance cabinet or a Scandinavian sideboard. Manufacturer: Scheurich Keramik (W. Germany) Export model: Foreign 314 Period: Circa 1950 Dimensions: 24 cm x 22 cm Height: 7 cm Material: Art ceramic with textured glaze Condition: Excellent vintage condition, very fresh colors
