A Pendant lamp by the Italian manufacturer Arteluce, designed by Ezio Didone. This is the iconic 'Mira' model, a striking example of 1970s Space Age design. The design is characterized by its floating, saucer-shaped structure and the unique balance between form and function.
The lamp is constructed from a combination of materials characteristic of that period. The saucer-shaped shade is made of black lacquered metal, which forms a strong graphic contrast with the chrome-plated metal rods that support the structure. The central diffuser, made of plastic, provides a soft and atmospheric downward-directed light. This Italian design combines industrial precision with a sculptural aesthetic.
