Massimo Vignelli 2012 MTA New York Subway Map
(Excl. frame, poster is framed for presentation)
This is Vignelli's reinterpretation of his famous 1972 subway map. The 2012 version was created for the MTA ''Arts for Transit'' and is essentially a kind of final statement by Vignelli about the New York Subway.
In 2012, Massimo Vignelli was invited to revisit his iconic subway map and adapt it for the digital age. This 40th Anniversary Edition of the Vignelli Map is officially licensed through the MTA's licensing program.
The fact that Vignelli himself returned to the map forty years after his original design and adapted it to the changes in the subway network makes this edition special. This is your chance to own a piece of art history that is sure to be a conversation starter and a real eye-catcher on the wall.
Photos 7 & 8 were taken in the Triennale museum in Milan during the exhibition ''Vignelli: A language of clarity''.
This museum-quality poster is printed on thick, durable matte paper.
